Member-only story
A month has passed since I first shared my struggle with burnout and loss of motivation. The fog hasn’t completely lifted, but there are glimmers of sunshine peeking through the clouds. It’s been a journey of self-discovery, small steps, and a renewed focus on what truly matters.
Reconnecting with Myself
One of the first steps was to disconnect. I put away my phone, turned off the TV, and simply was. It was uncomfortable at first, but it allowed me to tune into my thoughts and feelings without distractions. Meditation and journaling became my new companions, helping me unravel the knots of stress and uncertainty.
Rediscovering Joy
I started to reintroduce activities I used to love: spending time in nature, listening to music, and indulging in creative pursuits. Even small moments of pleasure, like a good book or a cup of tea, helped shift my focus from what I wasn’t doing to what I could do.
Setting Realistic Goals
I realized that my ambitious to-do lists were contributing to my overwhelm. Instead, I focused on setting small, achievable goals. Breaking down larger tasks into smaller steps made them feel less daunting. Celebrating these small wins helped build momentum.
